WINTERSBURG SEYO NEWSLETTER SPRING 2005 ISSUE

PeeWee Middle Boys #2 "Dragons"

Back for their second SEYO season, the Wintersburg Middle Pee Wee Boys (#2) Dragons are continuing to improve their skills and team play. With one win under their belts (whew!), the 10-man team is excited to move on in their 2004-05 season. Competition in the Middle Pee Wee Boys division is challenging and competitive, and the boys in purple definitely have their work cut out for them. They’re especially progressing in their passing and defensive skills and are learning to adapt to their competitors’ various strategies on offense. After the regular season ends, the team is looking forward to playing in its first tournament, Megalopolis.

The Dragons have seven returning players and have added 3 new players this year. They are busy guys, balancing basketball with a multitude of other activities such as soccer, cub scouts, music recitals, church, baseball, travel and, of course, school. They’re also an enthusiastic and happy group, with wonderful support from their families. Coached by Tim Ogata, Rody Yoshinaka and Gary Wong, the WPC Dragons are developing as a team and look forward each week to their upcoming game. Coach Yoshinaka leads the team in devotions each week after practice, providing them with life lessons and giving them time for discussion.
